Kasandra Lundquist, LCSW

Hi! I'm Kasandra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Level 2 trained IFS therapist, and the owner of Buffalo Wellness. My journey to this work has been full of twists and turns, and I believe these experiences have given me a unique perspective to support my clients on their own paths. I am passionate about helping people heal from difficult experiences and live more balanced, fulfilling lives.

I completed my Level 2 IFS training through the IFS Institute and had the privilege of receiving additional training from Dick Schwartz, the founder of IFS, during an eight-day intensive retreat. As one of 18 participants selected for this experience, I deepened my understanding and skills of IFS. In addition to IFS, I am also trained in EMDR, and I love integrating these methods to help clients heal all parts of themselves.

My expertise lies in supporting individuals who have faced complex traumatic experiences, including religious trauma after leaving a high-demand religion. Navigating life after leaving a rigid belief system can be overwhelming, bringing up feelings of shame, guilt, fear, grief, and identity confusion. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I help my clients process these complex emotions, reclaim their personal autonomy, and build a life that aligns with their authentic selves. My goal is to provide a safe and affirming space for healing, where clients can regain a sense of balance, empowerment, and confidence on their own path forward.

Using a trauma-informed lens, I recognize how past experiences shape present-day functioning. I work collaboratively with my clients through the IFS framework, developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. By combining therapy, skill-building, and support, I empower my clients to heal from their past and build resilience for the future.

I received a degree in Political Science from the University of Montana and then went on to be an AmeriCorps VISTA for two years. I then spent the next 9 years in the hotel industry before pursuing a Psychology degree from the University of Arizona. Finally, I received a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Social Work through Tulane School of Social Work.

Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy skiing in the winter and playing outdoors with my partner and our two dogs. In the summer, you can find me camping in the Uintas.

I welcome individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds and I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
